Wooden ship model introduction
Ships without mechanical power include sailboats, motor sailboats, oar boats and other ships. Influenced by cultural background and judges' judgment tendency, C-1 class mostly adopts the theme of ancient sailing battleships
Wooden sailboat models are the true sailing models in the world. Before the advent of precise drawing technology, these exquisite sailboat models must fully convey shipbuilding information. Therefore, the wooden sailboat model in C1 and C3 can be said to be the originator of the true sailing model.
Nowadays, the construction workload of these models is also very amazing, and skilled craftsmen often spend thousands or even tens of thousands of man-hours to build them by hand. At present, the largest collection of wooden sailboat models are several well-known museums in Western Europe.
Xiangyanghong No. 10 is one of the most classic ship types in my country's nautical model industry. The model based on him has won numerous honors for my country's nautical model simulation (C-class) and simulated sailing (NS).
The models of the C2 class have a wide range of subjects, from the age of steam engines to modern fully electric propulsion ships, and the subject matter is extremely wide. Most of the subjects left not only complete ship drawings, but also many video materials for reference.
Foreign players often use their favorite famous warships as the theme, while Chinese players, out of in-depth research on competition rules, mostly choose scientific research ships and engineering ships with beautiful ship shapes and rich colors.
In 1998, it was listed as an official competition event for the first time in the World Nautical Model Simulation Model Championship held in GDANSK, Poland.
Due to the singleness of its materials and the limitations of rules, paper models are directly different from other models in the way they are made. In particular, the "sheet metal craftsmanship" that Chinese players are good at is completely unplayable, and the domestic prejudice against paper models (there is a theory that people often say that low-quality components are "paste with paper").
Therefore, although the Chinese team, represented by Mr. Zhang Baozhong, won several gold medals in the World Championship (the third best result), the Chinese team, represented by Mr. Zhang Baozhong, won the gold medal in the World Championships several times, but it was not until 2017 that the C7 was listed as the official project of the National Nautical Model Championship.
The C-8 level is a new item in the 2016 World Nautical Model Simulation Project Championship. In the 2017 National Nautical Model Championship, the C8 level was also added as an official competition event. As far as the rules are concerned, it simply boils down to: models made from commodity kits other than C6 can participate in the C8 competition.
