Jaws are make by smooth metal with removable rubber, it will not scratch parts being clamped by the jaws.
One Jaw is completely smooth, the other side is smooth with perpendicular cross groove lines for holding wire and rods.
The ball and socket configuration allow the jaws to be title and rotate 360°,but holds jaws firmly in place at any angle.
The clamp is wide enough opening to fit most any bench or table top.
