Introduction:

The PTQS1005 is an all-in-one gas sensor module that measures multiple gas metrics simultaneously. The sensor module incorporates Plantower®'s laser particle sensor, infrared non-spectral CO2 sensor, and the latest electrochemical and semiconductor principles combined with formaldehyde/TVOC sensors for particle concentration, carbon dioxide and formaldehyde/TVOC concentrations. The sensor module also has a built-in temperature and humidity sensor chip. A variety of parameters will be output in a unified manner in the form of a digital interface. By optimizing the internal structure, the sensor module better integrates the path of the air inside the module with the sampling interface of each sensor, which not only reduces the size of the module, but also ensures the sensitivity of each sensor.

Precautions:

1. The PTQS1005 requires 5V power supply because the fan requires a 5V drive. However, other data communication and control pins require 3.3V as the high level. Because the motherboard MCU that communicates with it should be powered by 3.3V. If the motherboard MCU is powered by 5V, a level shifting chip or circuit should be added to the communication lines (RXD, TXD) and control lines (SET, RESET).

2. There is a pull-up resistor inside SET and RESET. If it is not used, it should be left floating.

3. PIN7 and PIN8 are used for internal debugging of the program, and should be left floating in the application circuit.
